The year has been full of comebacks and exciting new beginnings. Looking back, here’s a recap of the top YouthCare news from 2022. 

Thank you for coming along for the journey — we couldn’t do it without your support, your solidarity, and your faith in the work we do to end youth homelessness. Building on this momentum, we are looking toward the new year with renewed hope, revived community, and a focused determination for the work ahead. 

    New CEO, Fresh Vision

    After a nationwide search, YouthCare welcomed Degale Cooper as its new CEO. Degale has over three decades of service to youth and families, as well as a history at YouthCare going back to its early days. We are so excited for the vision and leadership that Degale brings!     The Luncheon Returns!

    YouthCare’s in-person Annual Luncheon returned with roaring success as we once again gathered together in support of young people. We saw old friends, heard from YouthCare’s new CEO, introduced our new Community Impact Honoree award, and most importantly, we heard stories of inspiration and hope from our wonderful young people.     Reconnecting Post-Quarantine

    After two years of challenging isolation and seclusion, the young people at YouthCare’s programs have been finding their way back to community and to each other. It’s been a long road of quarantine and time spent apart, but this year brought our communities back together with the restart of home gatherings and projects.
