WHERE THE NEXT CHAPTER OF HOPE BEGINS.
Youth homelessness is a pressing issue in King County, with nearly 1,800 young people experiencing homelessness every night. Today, fragmented systems have left vulnerable youth struggling to access employment and education. At YouthCare, we have a bold vision to solve this challenge. Welcome to the Constellation Center—a one-of-a-kind transformative hub – the next chapter of hope for young people.
A Central Hub of Opportunity and Hope
Located in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood at Broadway and Pine, the Constellation Center will give young people access to life-changing resources under one roof. This state-of-the-art facility will feature:
- Education and Workforce Training: From technology and healthcare to hospitality and skilled trades, young people will gain hands-on experience, and the skills needed to succeed in high-demand industries.
- Financial Empowerment: Tailored programs to help youth achieve financial stability and independence.
- Holistic Social Services: Mental health support, housing navigation, and career planning to address barriers caused by trauma and homelessness.
Additionally, the center will be seamlessly connected to the Broadway Center for Youth, which will offer 84 affordable housing units, including 15 units reserved exclusively for youth experiencing homelessness. Together, these spaces will provide a comprehensive ecosystem of support.
Where Transformation Happens
When the Constellation Center opens in early 2027, it will serve as a beacon of resilience and opportunity for over 200 youth annually. Addressing critical needs—safe housing and career opportunities—will break down barriers and set young people on a path to independence.
The Constellation Center represents a community-wide commitment to ensuring no young person is left behind.
YouthCare’s Vision for Collaboration
The Constellation Center is built on the foundation of strong partnerships. We can’t do this alone. YouthCare is proud to collaborate with organizations like Community Roots Housing, Seattle Central College, FareStart, and others. Together, we are building a dynamic hub where education, workforce development, and social services intersect to create real change.
This shared vision is made possible by support from our broader community—including you.
Progress and the Road Ahead
Since launching this ambitious campaign in 2019, we’ve raised $23 million toward our $37 million goal. While we’ve made remarkable progress, we still need $14 million to bring this transformative project to life. Here’s the timeline:
- Groundbreaking: Spring 2025
- Construction Completion: Spring 2027
- Grand Opening: Early 2027
With your help, we can finish strong and open the doors to a space redefining how we serve young people in need.
