On Saturday, May 13, YouthCare staff, members of the Board of Directors, and a youth client alumni gathered at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. American Family Insurance and the Seattle Seahawks had teamed up for a major surprise as part of their “Dream Fearlessly” campaign.

For the two weeks prior, YouthCare worked with American Family Insurance and a group of video producers to interview a few members of the YouthCare team about their dreams for the homeless youth we serve. We were told that we would go to the Exhibition Hall to help build hygiene kits for our clients that American Family was donating.

But when we arrived on May 13, we quickly realized that we were in store for something much, much bigger. Not only were they building and donating 3,000 kits for YouthCare and Mary’s Place, they welcomed us with Seahawks Richard Sherman and Bobby Wagner! American Family volunteers cheered for YouthCare and Mary’s Place as we all went on stage to receive a trophy for MVP: Most Valuable Protectors of the dreams of our clients.

It was a day to remember and we can’t wait to share more photos and videos of the event. Thank you, American Family Insurance and The Seattle Seahawks!
