“Windermere is a company full of 12s, so I know I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say how excited we are to be the official real estate company of the Seattle Seahawks,” said Geoff Wood, CEO of Windermere Real Estate. “But more importantly, I’m thrilled that we’ll be able to leverage this new partnership in a way that will help address the persistent homeless crisis we’re seeing in the Puget Sound area. Personally, I love knowing that every time one of our Seahawks takes down someone from the opposing team, that’s another $100 for YouthCare.” Wood said the donations will be made via the Windermere Foundation which to date has raised more than $30 million for low-income and homeless families.
Melinda Giovengo, CEO of YouthCare, shared that YouthCare is honored to be partnering with Windermere Real Estate and the Seattle Seahawks on the Tackle Homelessness campaign. “Not only will this campaign raise essential resources to help homeless youth, it will also bring awareness to the issue of homeless youth struggling in our own neighborhoods. Youth homelessness is both unacceptable, and also a challenge we can solve in this lifetime. The solution takes efforts and resources from across the community—just like this partnership—to help youth move forward from the streets, discover their potential and lead healthy and thriving lives. The values of compassion, teamwork and determination unite Windermere, the Seahawks and YouthCare together.”
“We are proud to partner with Windermere, an iconic and locally-based company with a deep commitment to this community,” said Seahawks Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Amy Sprangers. “Windermere’s brand and values align perfectly with our commitment to this region. It is wonderful that this partnership will make a positive impact on homeless youth throughout the Seattle area.”
We’ll be sure to remind you when the Seahawks season starts, so you can cheer on Windermere and YouthCare!
