YouthCare is excited to announce a new partnership with Gourmondo. Gourmondo will be donating a portion of the proceeds from their Giving Box lunches to YouthCare, in addition to offering internships for youth who have experienced homelessness.
Homeless youth come to YouthCare for a variety of reasons, to access a continuum of services from basic needs and shelter, to education and employment training. They are often most interested in getting a job and learning how to support themselves.
Gourmondo is offering barista and cashier advanced training in their cafes, pastry internships in their bakery, and a shadowing program with their executive chef, Tom Black. Some of the internships will be paid, which help our youth gain skills and begin to live independently. Youth will be referred to Gourmondo through our Employment Training program.
We are excited for our youth to learn more from Gourmondo, a recognized name in the catering and food service industry.
