Thank you for helping us create a joyful holiday for young people! If you’d like to help us with current and emerging needs, please visit our current needs page here.
Every day, youth experiencing homelessness must focus on food, shelter, and safety. Yet during the holidays, their wishes are no different than what so many of us look forward to: a chance to gather with friends and loved ones, share a meal, and enjoy the season. With your help, we can spread joy and make the holidays feel special for youth experiencing homelessness. It can start with something as simple as a holiday gift—selected just for them. Learn more about holiday giving below!
Fulfill a Wish
Grant youth wishes safely online through YouthCare’s Holiday Wish List—gifts are shipped directly to YouthCare!
We are deeply grateful for all front-line staff, including Amazon warehouse workers who are showing up every day to ensure life-saving supplies reach those in need. We stand in solidarity with them and their right to protection and safety as employees.
Donate a Gift Card
Gift cards are one of the most frequent requests from youth as they give young people autonomy and the flexibility to choose. They also help youth find those hard-to-find sizes, specific work attire, or needed items for their new apartment! Your donation of gift cards gives us the opportunity to treat young people to something special—e.g. a trip to the ice cream shop for everyone staying at one of our housing programs!
Thoughtfully purchased gift card ideas could include:
- These local businesses have donated to or partnered with YouthCare:
- Other recommended small businesses that frequently fulfill the needs of youth:
- Stores that have many options:
- Bartell’s, Walgreens, CVS, etc.
- Lane Bryant, Torrid, etc.
- Fred Meyer, Safeway, Target, etc.
- Tracfone, Verizon, Best Buy, etc.
- Ross, TJ Max, Macy’s, etc.
- IKEA, Goodwill, etc.
- McDonald’s, Subway, Starbucks, Jack in the Box, etc.
- Visa, Amazon, etc.
Please send electronic gift cards to email@example.com or see below for more info about shipping or dropping off your gifts.
HOW TO DROP OFF YOUR GIFTS:
To keep you, our clients, and our staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that you either ship gifts or sign up for a time to drop off gifts. See below for instructions! Note: Because all young people deserve to open up a present that is unused and just for them, we ask that all gifts be new and unopened.
When purchasing things online or in person, please feel free to ship items directly to YouthCare. If you are shipping gifts or gift cards, please use the address below:
Attn: Holiday Drive

Dropping Off Gifts:
Please only drop off items at our main office during your scheduled drop-off window.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering this holiday season! Due to COVID-19, our volunteer opportunities are limited. You can also help us supply holiday meal boxes for young people and their families in the community.

Host a Holiday Fundraiser
While we can’t be physically together this holiday season, the collective support of caring community members like you help make the holidays feel special for young people at YouthCare.
By hosting a virtual holiday fundraiser you can engage your friends and family in a cause that is important to you and make a lasting difference in the lives of homeless youth—through the holiday season and beyond.
During a time of year when we’re all thinking about our loved ones near and far, please consider maximizing your impact on the community with your purchasing power. During your own holiday shopping this year, please remember to buy from black-owned businesses!
