Indigenous Peoples’ Day

On #IndigenousPeoplesDay, we're starting—first and foremost—by acknowledging that YouthCare's program sites reside on the land of the Duwamish People. We cannot call this city home without honoring the stewardship of the Duwamish Tribe throughout history and today. Below are a few resources to learn about the Duwamish Tribe, including their ongoing struggle to be federally recognized, and how you can make a real rent contribution.

Begins: I Do Bridal Promotion to Benefit YouthCare!

I Do Bridal, a boutique dress shop in Seattle, has generously offered to donate $10 per dress sold during the month of November to YouthCare! These donations will go toward providing Thanksgiving meals to youth in programs.

StolenYouth hosts a ‘town hall’ each year to raise awareness about the growing problem of child sex trafficking in our region. In King County alone, more than 600 children and youth are bought and sold for sex annually, some as young as 11 years old.
