Civic Justice Corps
Having a juvenile record can be a significant barrier to finishing school or getting a job. Civic Justice Corps, our newest employment training program, offers opportunity for both.
Over the next year, CJC will employ 45 young offenders in rebuilding park trails, planting trees, habitat restoration, vegetable gardening, composting, and other projects to protect our environment and enhance Seattle’s parks and neighborhoods. Participants will have a chance to finish their education, gain employment skills and experience, and give back through community service.
CJC receives funding from the U.S. Department of Labor, and is a partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation and Habitat for Humanity.
