Ages 18-24 and need shelter?

YouthCare's Young Adult Shelter at the James W. Ray Orion Center has 20 beds available.

If this will be your first time at the shelter: You will need to register with us in person at the Orion Center before staying at Shelter. Monday through Friday, you can come to the Orion Center between 5:00 and 6:00pm the night you first wish to stay. On Saturdays and Sunday please arrive at 6:00pm to complete the intake process.

If you are returning: Seven days a week, call the shelter message line at (206) 724-0950 anytime before 6pm: leave your first and last name, initials, or chosen name to be put on the list. Call the shelter message line back at (206) 724-0950 after 6:20pm to check if you have a spot.

Ages 13-22 and need meals and basic services? Meals and drop in at the Orion Center:

  • Breakfast 8:30-9am M-F
  • Lunch 12:30-1pm M-F
  • Dinner 6:30-7pm M, W, Th, F
  • Dropin 3:30-6:30pm M, W, Th, F
